hi all,
i am a 30 year old Kenya lady and learn t about my status 2years ago while attending antenatal clinic..i was devastated and thought that God was very unfair.this was an illness that only came to the poor in the slums and not the classy and hard working women like me.this was a disease for "those people out there"and not me.after a few visits to the councilor and endless talks with my husband we came too one conclusion to stop pointing fingers at each other(the blame game)and work our way forward..ways of how to prevent the baby from getting infected, how to elevate my CD4 count that had dropped to 138 and how the baby will be born when the time came.
we decide to have our baby by c.section.i quite my job at a banking institution and dedicated my life totally on changing lives.helping people living positively in whichever way that i can and creating behavior change among the youth.i am currently working with an organization that cares for the positive women in Kenya as a volunteer in the BCC office but feel that theres more that i can do.
