Alia Al-Rabeo

About Me: 

Born and raised in Damascus, Alia Turki Al-Rabeo is recipient of UN X-Cultural Reporting Award for her work Silent Heroes, Invisible Bridges. Besides working as producer and presenter for Syrian TV channels, her stories has appeared in McClatchy Newspapers Group as well as various Arabic and English language Syrian, Kuwaiti, Saudi Arabian and Pakistani newspapers. Trained by Al-Jazeera, ICFJ and IWPR, she is now co-director of a multi-lingual cross-cultural, cross-religious and cross-border journalist project Silent Heroes, Invisible Bridges, an Istanbul-based not-for-profit media organization. She speaks Arabic, English and Turkish.
