I am a young feminist and activist currently serving with City Year Boston as a mentor to elementary school children in the inner city, working with 4th grade imparticular. I focus on math and literacy as well as engage in a "lunch buddies" program 4 days out of the week. I am also working with a fellow corps member on getting the City Year Boston corps to become more versed in HIV/AIDS, hoping to have workshops and free AIDS testing at the City Year Boston site.
I am a WWOOFer and will be living and working on an organic farm in Ireland this summer, and hope to go to Kenya the following summer.
In the fall I will be attending Evergreen State College and hope to pursue a career and life of working with womyn of rural Africa, as well as working towards keeping girls in school, and have a great interest in microfinancing.
