About Me:

I am a single woman who teaches children and adults about nature and the sensuality of nature, meaning, remembering to utilize those wonderful senses with which we're blessed; sight, touch, sound, smell and taste. It sounds funny to suggest this, but aren't we all a bit surprised by the limited amount of time our friends and colleagues spend outdoors anymore with the earth herself? In this day and age of computer technology and gadget overload, we forget to talk and listen to each other in person, and we forget about the earth. This lovely planet and its creatures offers invaluable lessons if we listen and pay attention.

I volunteer with the local Literacy Program in my county. Knowledge is power. A gift as simple and taken for granted as the ability to read is often overlooked. Illiteracy is epidemic in many communities. Imagine if everyone could read and comprehend the issues of today? There would be more of us making better, more informed decisions based on truth rather than false propaganda.

Finally, I love to show that animals are sentient, loving creatures who have feelings and brains. I practice that with the special help of my rescued pet cow, Daisy, who would otherwise be someone's hamburger this moment had I not intervened in her premature, death bound birth. She, my two dogs, four cats and one blind rabbit welcome everyone.
I practice Wildlife habitat gardening and love writing. Music is my favorite mind altering medium; one of the most dependable ways to transcend depression and/or melancholy and be happy.

My Passions:
Nature, music, writing, animals.
My Challenges:
Learning to listen to those with whom I disagree; treating those same people with respect and dignity.
My Vision for the Future:
Befriending someone is known to literally change the brain chemistry in the other person; in other words, demonstrating kindness and friendship to those in need can change the world.
My Areas of Expertise:
Wildlife Habitat Gardens, Compassion, Listening, Creative ideas.
My Languages:
English, Spanish
