About Me:

I think that I was born an activist. I often refer to myself as a movement baby. I was a child of an interacial marraige that had only been legal by federal law for a few years before my birth. I have worked many years on an organization that serves women and children in Kenya, but lately that organization has passed through many challenges and I became consumed by motherhood and other personal challenges.

I will soon be returning to school to get a Masters in International Health. I still have a passion to work with women and children and do development work of many sorts, but am also experiencing a rebirth of my own creativity.

My Passions:
writing, my child, women
My Challenges:
raising a Black man in America, loving the men in my life unconditionally despite sexism
My Vision for the Future:
A place where our children can be free to be what they want in a climate which has been healed
My Languages:
English, Kiswahili
