Rosaline Ntube Ngole Bell
Rose Ntube Ngole is a Cameroonian journalist and talk-show host. RNN or RnB as she is fondly called started her career in 1992 as a desk assistant at the first FM Station in Cameroon- Yaounde FM 94 while completing her undergraduate degree in English at the University of Yaounde 1. A couple of months later, she became a full time broadcaster hosting several programs at the station. The versatile journalist has juggled the positions of English News anchor, host of morning show-Rise and Shine, talk show-Under the Roof and DJ of variety music program, Saturday Night Fever. Rose also served as Center provincial correspondent for network program, Luncheon Date. She appeared briefly on the TV talent show, MISTER WORD with Victor Epie Ngome.
Yaounde city dwellers tuned-in every wednesday night to the program Under The Roof, where for one hour, Rose and her guests, brought out into the open, the plight of the less privileged and most vulnerable in her community especially, women and children. Some of the topics discussed were : literacy issues such as barriers to girl-child education, educating individuals with disabilities, son preference and girl-child neglect, child labor, media voilence, sex slaves, under-age marriage, the plight of Anglophone students in the University of Yaounde, female genital mutilation and other harmful traditional practices affecting the reproductive health of women and girls in Cameroon. Rose recieved part of her training at the Deutsche Welle Radio Training Center in Cologne -Germany. She also did a four -month stint in The Netherlands.
In 2002, she had a second Bachelor's degree in Communication with specialization in Journalism from the Advanced School of Mass Communication Yaounde. Upon graduation, she ascended to the post of week-end morning host at the National station of Radio Cameroon. She held the position until July 2005, when she took a family -medical leave to the United States to assist her special needs son.
Rose is currently a graduate student in Educational Leadership (with a concentration in Special Education) at Howard University School of Education.
Rose Ntube Ngole is a 2008/9 American Association of University Women Educational Foundation International Fellow.
She resides in Washington D.C.
