Offer: CIME International Media Ethics Day ( SEPT 21 2012 )
CIME is excited to repeat the International Media Ethics Day second year in a row and bring together journalists around the world locally to discuss ethical dilemmas together. In 2011, the first ever IMED attracted more than 300 journalists in 11 countries of the world thanks to the effective collaboration between local journalism related organizations and CIME.
This year we aim to replicate the event in an even bigger scale. Here you can find the preliminary locations of media ethics workshops on the 21st September 2012 around the world where you can participate in discussions and solve exercises together with your colleagues in your local language. Should you be interested in hosting the event, please read the details for host organizations here and contact us by email.
Participate through the internet!
Write about media ethics on your own blog on 21 Sept! The list of volunteer bloggers is available here, making your blog easily accessible for the whole network of CIME. If you want to be part of the celebration, please sign up here! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dHlYRF9DN2V1dlRqMHR...
Follow the CIME blog on 21 Sept! We will be super active and post about a new ethical dilemma every hour, that makes 24 dilemmas within 24 hours! We are looking forward to your comments and intensive discussion on journalism ethics.
Participate in our journalism ethics quiz! We will post ethical journalism related questions on our social media (Facebookand Twitter) throughout the day for you to answer during the same day. Those with the most correct answers will be featured on our website and invited to our online media ethics training for free!
Take our online journalism ethics training for free! For this special occasion, we are offering the course for free (please note that we can accept a limited number of applicants for technical reasons) in two days, 21st and 22nd September. The module is called J-Ethinomics exploring the relationship between Journalism, Ethics and Economics! Find our more: www.j-ethinomics.org ( I have taken this course earlier this year - a good one. I would recommend to members here! )
Find out who is the winner of the 2012 Media Ethics Cine! CIME is accepting short video submissions presenting what journalism ethics mean. The best video will be the official CIME film for a year! The winner will be featured in our newsletter, receive a book (Reuters: Our World Now 5) and participate in our online media ethics training with 5 of his/her chosen friends. Read the details and submit your video
