Nalini Saligram
I am global health advocate and founder & CEO of Arogya World, a non-profit committed to changing the course of chronic disease one community at a time. Our work involves global advocacy for non-communicable diseases and diabetes prevention through lifestyle changes in India. See www.arogyaworld.org.
I have lived and worked in many parts of the world. I spent more than five years as a global communications executive at Merck based in Philadelphia. I also worked at Glaxo Wellcome in London, Hill & Knowlton in Hong Kong, and Merial in Atlanta. While in Atlanta, I also worked at Women’s Legacy at United Way, US Fund for UNICEF, as well as PAWSitive InterAction, a public-private partnership I founded.
I have a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. And serve on the Dean’s Council at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. I am based in the Chicago area.
