Foluke
Foluke is a woman with strong passion for growth, development and liberalization of the women, youth and adolescents in Nigeria. Growing up in Northern Nigeria observing adolescent girls stop school to get married, watching vulnerable children roam the streets aiming to fend for themselves raised her curiosity and initiated her dream to bring positive development to the region. She became a volunteer peer educator as a freshman studying at Nigeria's premier university and has since worked with women, orphans/vulnerable children and persons living with HIV in nine districts in Northern Nigeria. She is currently in Washington D.C as an international advocacy fellow, one of eighteen young professionals in the non profit sector selected for the 2011 ATLAS CORPS Fellowship.
