About Me: 

I am a Writer and Blogger on Women Issues. Gender Journalist. Women Rights Activist. Grass Roots Communication Consultant. Leadership and Empowerment Trainer. Lecturer on Islamic Feminism in Latin America

My experience covers various aspects of communication and dealing with people: New Media Journalism, Radio Broadcast, Corporate Communications, Human Resources Management, University Teaching, Translation and Interpreting, Team work management and Nonprofit Organizations.

I received journalism training in risk scenarios in the Knight Center for Journalism of the Americas. In 2011, I was selected to participate in "Voices of Our Future" training program in New media, Citizen journalism and Gender empowerment.

My journalistic work is focused in storytelling and coverage of issues related to women and minorities of all kind (religion, race, gender). My work is on international websites like The Huffington Post, Women News Network and Global Press Institute and I have collaborated with Furias Magazine of Argentina.

I spent part of my life living in Equator, Peru, Morocco, Argentina and United Kingdom where I developed training programs in women rights and leadership, led successfully international volunteer initiatives for native communities and poverty belts settlements and broadcasted radio community shows. My time in those countries allowed me to discover my passion for travelling and storytelling. .

As converted muslim and Islamic Feminist, my work focuses on three key areas: Gender, Identity and Communication; Sharia and Citizenship; Violence on Women and Religious Fundamentalisms.

I am member of WISE Muslim Women Network, Board Advisor of Voices of Women Worldwide + VOW TV and Correspondant of World Pulse. I am spokeswoman of Muslims For Progressive Values Chile, Colaborator of MUSAWAH and CALEM
