Yenly Thach

About Me: 

I was born in a refugee camp in Thailand where I lived until I was eight years old before I immigrated to America. From a child refugee to a 2009-10 Boren Fellow, Kendra Chiota-Payne Global Study recipient; and returned Peace Corps Volunteer in Costa Rica 2005-07. This past winter, I received my Master’s degree from UC Santa Barbara in Global and International Studies. I advocates for refugees’ rights and human rights’ issues globally. I love to go to the beach, practice yoga, do Pilates, blog, and write. I am passionate about learning new cultures, languages, traveling to developing countries and helping those who truly need it.
