About Me: 

Mandy Van Deven is a progressive activist and writer. She has worked in senior leadership positions with grassroots organizations in New York, Atlanta, and Kolkata, India. Her various experience includes program development, strategic planning and analysis, organizational sustainability, and fund development. She brings a deep understanding of the complex issues faced by marginalized communities around the globe and the desire to cultivate community-based strategies that lead to social, political, and economic justice.

Mandy is the co-author of Hey, Shorty!: A Guide to Combating Sexual Harassment and Violence in Schools and on the Streets and guest editor of Issue 8.3 of The Scholar & Feminist Online, “Polyphonic Feminisms: Acting in Concert.” Her writing can be found in numerous international publications.
