I am a Communications Officer and the Blog Editor for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in Seattle. Previously, I was the Managing Editor for the award-winning web site RH Reality Check, an online publication covering global reproductive and sexual health news and information. I enjoy writing about maternal health and rights including pregnancy, childbirth, access to midwifery; as well as international global women's rights issues. I have blogged for the advocacy organization, Momsrising.org, and the Women's Rights section on Change.org. I have also been featured, cited or reposted on many well-read online publications including: Alternet, Huffington Post, Common Dreams, Truthout, US News & World Report Women’s Health Blog, Feministe, Science & Sensibility, The American Prospect, Change.org, Women’s eNews, Ms. Foundation blog. I live with her husband, and two beautiful children where they tend to their dogs and chickens in the city of Seattle.
