About Me:

I am originally from India and currently I am pursuing a Ph.D (Social work) in University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA. I have been involved with various projects related to intimate partner violence (IPV), both in India and the U.S. I am currently using UNICEF data to examine women’s attitudes towards IPV in three Central Asian countries. In addition, I am very interested in non-fatal strangulation as a form of IPV and recently completed a qualitative study that involved interviewing women who survived being strangled by their intimate male partner. Also, as an international student in the U.S., I am also very interested in IPV-related programing and policies that currently exist for international students in U.S. campuses.

I am so happy and excited about this opportunity to connect with friends/sisters around the world!!
