Am one of the founders of Kibera Journal, which I currently head as the editor. I am also an ICT literacy activist and one of the founder members of Map Kibera Trust.
Am also working on the registration of a Community Media Training Centre, Which will training young people interested in the profession but cannot afford the raising amount of fees paid in the public and private universities. My approach is purely hands on training and a bit of theory.
So far I have trained five youths who are now working in different Community and Commercial FM stations in Kenya and one is currently working for one of the leading magazines in Qatar.
Am also engaged in GIS mapping through the use of open source data technology where we have also trained young people in mapping technology and used them to map Kibera and they are now training others in Mathare, the second largest slum in Nairobi.
I am also a facilitator in Good Governance, Anti-Corruption and Active Citizenship.
