POULINE KIMANI Is a pan-africanist queer feminist activist. She has a wealth of experience in movement building and analysis as a representative /steering committee member of Gay and lesbian coalition of Kenya a co-founder Minority women in action (the first lesbian organization in Kenya) and a volunteer with different gender and sexual rights based community organizations. She is driven by her passion to achieve social justice. Her  focus is  on women rights , the struggles for liberation among subjugated peoples and of organizing in partnership across the discrepancy of race, gender, sexual orientation, class, age and ability. She is involved in cross regional and global initiatives on sexual rights representing LGBTI/sexual and reproductive health and rights issues in local, regional and international foras. She has keen interest on resource mobilization and sustenance, popular culture as a tool of social change, and Gender politics. She is currently working with International federation for human rights (sub Saharan Africa) in Nairobi Kenya supporting the Africa for womens' rights -ratify and respect campaign
