About Me:

I worked for sometime in Senegal, West Africa where I conducted archaeological research for my doctoral dissertation. I now work as a Senior Research Associate examining how to reduce disparities in health care, especially among African immigrants in the U.S. I hope to expand this work to West Africa, focusing on women and access to health care and health education. My husband is Senegalese and we try and go back there when we can. Very excited to be a part of World Pulse and so proud of all the women who dare to write for the many who don't yet have a voice.

My Passions:
Writing, advocacy for underserved women
My Challenges:
finding time to do my passion
My Vision for the Future:
communities that inspire women to choose their own destinies and see this as community building and strengthening instead of a threat.
My Areas of Expertise:
Anthropology, writing, french, history, West African cultures
