I am a survivor/thriver who has been working through years of trauma from child sexual abuse. I have dealt with it intellectually through a Combined Honours B.A. in Women's Studies / Sociology at McMaster University and later a Masters in Education in Adult Education and Community Development at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE/UT). I have dealt with it on a physical plane through motherhood. I am dealing with emotionally as a mother of a diva-ish almost 8 year old daughter who charms and enchants and challenges me everyday. I starting to get into my path of writing about my experiences in public to dispell the silence that surrounds violence against women and children. And I am still seeking that career path that will let me do what I am passion about for a living.
