Andrea Elizabeth Burniske
A passionate, visceral intellectual whose father bought me the first issues of Ms Magazine when I was 9 years old, and who always wanted me to be a philosopher. The firebrand, former punk-rocker that I was still lurks in my soul, as does the message of peace and love from the generation in which I grew up. I have little tolerance for fools and cowards - especially since I have sometimes been both to a greater degree than I would like. But my greatest intolerance is when people are petty and/or cruel. I have worked in international development since the early 90s, started in Russia, moved on the Central Asia and now am in Colombia.
