I have been affected by HIV/AIDS since 1995 and have provided care to nine people (family members) of which five passed away because there were no known anti-retroviral drugs at time. During this period I attended couselling a number of times until 2001 when we made our first major break through with assistance of a local peadiatrician, our first nephew was put on ART trial. By then was my love to make a difference had reached a high level. By 2009 i was looking for someways to professionally work in the relate field to help make that difference, I even statred attending groupsessions for the HIV/AIDS inffected and affected. came 2010 I enrolled to a local institute, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT INTERNATIONAL TRUST and studied for a PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN HIV/AIDS PROGRAMMING AND COMMUNITY BASED PROJECT MANAGEMENT. I completed the course on 01 August 2010 and cannot wait to start a project that Ihave seen to be viable in thiss commuity that I leave in (CROWBOROUGH NORTH). There are other NGOs operating in this comminuty but they are providing them with hand outs and there is quit a number of the infected and affected people that are nit benefiting from this.
