I teach preschool to special needs preschoolers and children that come from below the poverty line. To be able to have a passion for my job makes the moments truly special when I teach. My job helps make sure that every child is receiving an quality, equality and diverse education. This is truly the only way to educate and promote women's ideas, roles and overall a better world. My friends and family are a great support to me and I cherish them. I am new to this women empowerment movement but feel strongly to help support it. I have just finished reading Half the Sky, and The Road of Lost Innocence, both of those books touched me deeper than I thought they would. I want to become more involved with volunteering and helping in any ways I can.
books I have read, and I am open to suggestions for new books!
The Road of Lost Innocence, Somaly Mam
Half the Sky, Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn
Half of a Yellow Sun, Chimamanda Ngozi
The Birth House, Ami McKay
The Blue Sweater
A Women among Warlords
