I am Quratulain, from Pakistan. I am the third girl child of my parents among five children, a brother and a sister after me. Our area is isolated from the rest of Pakistan and is somehow backward particularly in the education of female, though in some parts it is good. Northern Areas (now called Gilgit-Baltistan) is the juncture of the three mighty ranges of the famous mountains called Karakorum, Hindukush and Himalayas. The area is culturally rich with several diverse groups of people who speak 11 local dialects. The local customs and traditions are unique including its music. I am particularly amazed by the old historical buildings such as forts of the old Rajas of Hunza, one of the districts of the Northern Areas, who existed for 700 years and practiced their independent governance systems in Hunza. The local people live with peace and love with each other. As a young lady I wish to become a future leader and contribute for the development of my region and want to inspire the young generation through my education and work. I am so eager for learning. I always try to learn something new. I want to Interact with the diverse group of teens which would enable me to know about their, cultures, languages, and about the characters of their states.
