Painter, Creative Writer, Educator and Advocate. It was with my family that I first learned to appreciate the importance of an artistic community. Being surrounded by so many creative people provided me with a nurturing artistic environment that encouraged me to explore and learn without boundaries.
My family and life experience is what leads my hand and nourishes my creativity. The themes and concerns of Culture, Tradition, Women and Girls being a primary inspiration to me as they are all reflected in many of my sketches and paintings. I use Art to advocate for the things i believe in, i use it as a tool of eductaion and awareness, a visual identity to the current events and treatment in today's society.
I have learned that my voice is a powerful tool so i use it to promote peace, awareness, educate and advocate along with my Art for Women and Children around the world. This is how i started a womens communication network titled Chamaca Arts... its a platform that woman can stand on and advocate using all mediums of creativity and advocacy. With writing a story, poetry, song, paintings, articles, dance, video and so much more. We write blogs and share the vocies and stories of women and girls around the world. Visit Chamaca Arts and share your voice with us at www.Chamaca-Arts.com and join a family of love and light.
If I had to sum up my inspirations into one word it would be “Life”. The driving force behind my work is very personal. It is an influence of family, culture and a deep sense of spirituality.
Let there be Peace, Love and Unity !!!
