Nilima Raut
I am studying Master of Arts in mass communication and journalism, have just finished my tenure of president-ship in rotaract and I hold the position of "MISS ROTASIA 2010" which is the south Asian rotaract award. I am also the part of Rotaract District Committee 3293 Nepal.
The community service has been the part of my life, either it was in school through RED CROSS and GREEN CLUB or now through ROTARACT and my job. And communication has been the best skills I ever had. Being a student of mass communication, regular reporting job had never excited me, because I always want to make my communication skills-a part of peace and community development. I desire to be the expert in the international communication and the part of peace and community development. I believe in the power of communication and media and how it can help on development of the society.
Empowerment causes development, development only succeeds when every member of the society is empowered. And pulse wire is empowering woman by giving platform to raise their voices that is what makes me feel lucky to be in PULSEWIRE and what makes me feel luckiest is being one of the 2010 VOICES OF OUR FUTURE CORRESPONDENT. It has created the great confidence inside me.
I feel transformed :)
