Elizabeth Hoffecker

About Me:

I am currently pursuing a Masters degree with the International Development Group in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at MIT. I also work as a consultant on projects related to social innovation and the triple bottom line economy through Social Innovation Partners.

I really enjoy learning and am curious about a wide range of issues, many of which defy easy categorization. Questions that intrigue me currently include: what can cities and regions do to build and strengthen sustainable, equitable, and resilient local economies? How can governments (particularly local governments) promote and enable community-based problem solving and social innovation? There are many more, but I'll stop there!

My Challenges:
acknowledging and following my quiet inner voice; choosing among many things that excite me.
My Vision for the Future:
I envision a future in which the places and systems we create enable all people to thrive and realize their full potential.
My Languages:
English, Spanish, German (learning)
