About Me:

I an Indian woman. I hold a decent job and am a single parent. Born and brought up in an upper middle class in urban India, I am just on way out of a short but acrimonious marriage had led a toll on sensibilities for a while. However, today there is strong need (and even desire) in my personal existence to strive hard towards removing the unjust and biased shackles that our binding our society.
No individual can be subjugated without either her/his willingness, directly or indirectly into such inhuman submission. Isn’t it time women stop taking some ownership for their sufferings?; Rather isn’t it time us women start taking a stand not to accept none of it anymore and accepting that fighting an injustice (including any kind of abuse or violence — sexual, marital, psychological, etc) is not a bad thing. This fight may take time, suffering may not go easily but we will have something worth leaving for our posterity – a New Indian Women.

Where The Mind is Without Fear

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake

– by Rabindranath Tagore
