Am a Kenyan lady with a vision to empower the vulnerable women and children in my community.
As the project lead of ORPHSWIV, a CBO at the South region of Nyanza Province in Kenya, am in a position to introduce ideas and projetcs that are going to empower the members of the group and the community as a whole.
I come from a region that has experienced high death rates due to HIV/AIDS related diseases.The number of widows, widowers and orphans are in the increasing daily.when you enter most homes the sights of graveyards are a clear sign that the community is in agent need of help.
This help has to start with us.The women who in most homes are the bread winners have to be empowered, if there is any hope for the community to be empowered as a whole.
This is where my passion comes from, I want to help my community be a better place for the us and the future generation.This goal gives me the energy
