About Me: 

Nigerian, Queer, Feminist, writer, researcher and blogger on social justice in Africa and the Diaspora with a specific focus on Women, Gender, LGBTI and Technology for Advocacy. My paternal roots are in the Niger Delta where I have been involved for the past 15 years as an activist researcher collecting testimonies and documenting gendered violence by government security forces and multinational oil companies. Since 2005 I have worked in various capacities for Pambazuka News including Online Editor and recently edited a collection of essays on mobile phone activism in Africa commissioned by Pambazuka Press. I am presently working on editing two further books - one on the LGBTI movement in Africa and a collection of articles from Pambazuka News.
