Well, teaching is for me very political, a way of speaking fearlessly and teaching youth to step up to the truth of fearless speech. I am in my seventh year of teaching after wandering in war zones with a camera, working on issues of non-violence and social justice for several organizations and writing poetry in the middle of the night while proofreading in NYC firms to support my work. After nearly a lifetime in NYC I have moved to Colorado where poetic thinking bumps up with militarism. I keep my global network alive via the internet but also keep my ear and heart close to the ground and in the community.
