About Me:

I am undertaking a mid-life career transition from the corporate world to the arena of women's advocacy. Women's issues & advocacy are topics I have always been passionate about, and I have finally decided to make them the focus in my life. I am getting more involved in women's organizations in my community, joining groups like World Pulse, and looking for a job in the field of women's advocacy. In addition, in the fall of 2010 I will be starting a MA in Women's Studies & Gender Studies. This will be my second masters. My first was a Masters of Science in Communication (MSC) from Northwestern University, awarded in 6/06. I love learning and being exposed to new ideas, people, and ways of thinking. Education truly "unzips the mind" and opens up a world of possibility.

My Passions:
Equity and education for girls and women. Gender issues in the workplace.
My Challenges:
Determining my path, and how best to pursue it.
My Vision for the Future:
Helping to make a difference in the lives of girls and women.
My Areas of Expertise:
Project mgmt, cross-functional team leadership, organizational change mgmt
