About Me:

As I state on my blog, I am a woman that wants to lead a life less ordinary. Our family moved to Central Mexico in September of 2006; the family is; My husband Richard 39, son Sebastian 7 years old, daughter Isabel 5, son Roarke 3 and me Elizabeth or (biz) 38. Richard thought it would be a good idea to live outside of the United States for one year, at the end of the first year, we couldn't imagine going back to the States. To be able to go into the world as a family and explore, learn a new language and cultural customs, new geography-physical and metaphorically speaking...these are gifts I hope our children will unwrap all the days of their lives. More than any other reason, we came to live in Mexico because life is too short to go to the same old grocery is the same town where you grew up, only taking your two weeks of vacation every year to visit someplace that is the "other". There is very little of the "other" left now, we are all humans striving to life on this world together, if we are to have a sane and civil society. My children, your children, the neighbor kids...they will inherit a legacy from us, I am choosing to leave those children with compassion, wonder, and an intellect that stretches to ask questions and seek answers. These are grand tasks but I know we will begin in our corner of the world and we will intersect with others in theirs corners and then...it's a hit! I believe in the power of women and children to change this world we live in. Whew, that was a lot...
