OneChild
OneChild is the premier organization dedicated to inspiring a movement of children and youth leading the struggle against child sex slavery. Founded in 2005 by international child rights activist, Cheryl Perera, we believe that all children- the largest voiceless minority, deserve to enjoy their fundamental rights—to be free from all forms of exploitation and to be free to participate meaningfully and positively contribute to matters that affect them. Through a global partnership, OneChild engages the young survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and their peers in public education, policy reform and extensive support services. To this end, OneChild has partnered successfully on projects with Air Canada and the PREDA Foundation. For the strides it has made in protecting children from commercial sexual exploitation, OneChild has earned the World of Children Award and the BRICK Award.
