Julie Johnson

About Me:

40 yr. old individual, daughter, sister, wife, colleague, friend. I am seeking how to use my voice, my skills, my convictions and my passions in ways that will benefit girls and women whose voices strain to be heard. I am here to learn from all of you, to grow, to challenge myself and to act.

My Passions:
Living simply and with compassion; providing safe educational environments for girls; gender-appropriate sanitation at schools in developing world; full participation in the economy for women; full recognition of human and civil rights for LGBT.
My Challenges:
Identifying where and how I can be of most use.
My Vision for the Future:
Emancipation of women worldwide is seen as a human rights imperative, not a "women's issue"
My Areas of Expertise:
writing, editing, research, project management.
My Languages:
English, French
