I am a child of the earth and daughter to the moon. I was teaching community creative writing workshops to women in transitioning homes between prison and independence. I love empowering women who are scared even of their own voices that have been lost so long, and helping them learn to sing and express again, and always. I spend most of my time in the community, in the garden, writing, reading, educating myself - not only in traditional forms of education, I believe my most impacting educational lessons have come from seeking true understanding about the world I live in and how I effect it. I love studying queer culture and gender issues across the world. I wake up every night at three in the morning feeling gently fierce about the world, silently hopeful that if i close my eyes long enough and listen I will be able to hear voices - of all the women everywhere raising, of even the moon entering the night, of the hearts of children quieting to the vibration of peace - these things are here, are coming.
