I became involved in World Pulse when I retired in the summer of 2010 from a long career in education. I immediately applied to be a Listener and an Editorial Midwife. I found both experiences rewarding and repeated both last year. Although I grew up in Ohio, I lived most of my adult life in NewYork City until moving to Los Angeles with my husband in 2006 to be near my son and now daughter-in-law. In addition to World Pulse activities, I volunteer with the Story Time program at a local library once a week and take classes in literature and art appreciaion at a local college. In May, 2012 I became the grandmother of a wonderful baby girl who I hope will grow up in sisterhood with the global community of women I have come to know through World Pulse.
