Hello to all my sisters around the world! I am so looking forward to hearing from you, about your lives, your needs, visions and dreams. I live in California, am 61 years young and have a been a lifetime yoga practioner and meditator.
My work is as an "activator" in business, in community, in the world. I am passionate about this lifetime. Right now, there is no time to waste. I see the plight of my sisters in Rwanda, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, India, Asia...and it is not all right with me that these things are happening on "my watch." After reading "Half the Sky" and becoming more aware of the violence happening toward women (all human beings actually) and the plight of our planet's ecology, a new awareness has dawned. It is my responsibility as a member of the human family, who is fully empowered to say something, to do something, to be something on behalf of those who need our collective voice and vision.
I am using the medium of business to be a change agent. Through my company, East West Living, we are creating a platform to discuss, share and enlighten people about these important topics such as sustainability, voilence, women's rights, spirituality and the new economy; to build a sustainable business as a model and inspiration for others; to sell only products which are Fair Trade and ecologically kind; and to promote and model a vegetarian lifestyle which is healthier for people and the planet. We are also starting a new not-for-profit company - East West Giving - which will support organizations like World Pulse and Women for Women International. We believe in working at the grassroots level by identifying and sending assistance to people who are doing great work. We are the activators. We are a new breed of women philanthropists. We are the Divine Feminine manifesting.
I invite all women to find others in your local or national community who share your vision and then create collaborations that matter. World Pulse is a great platform for sharing how we do that given our diversity and resources.
