GlobalGirlMedia

About Me:

Global Girl Media nurtures the voice and self-expression of young girls in under-served communities and developing nations with a goal to inspire and empower a future generation of female “citizen broadcast journalists” around the world to speak out about the issues that affect them most. Our pilot project, KICK IT UP! is training 30 under-served girls in Soweto, South Africa and East Los Angeles to report on the 2010 World Cup. Julie Foudy, former U.S. Women’s Soccer Captain and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, and currently a senior ESPN sportscaster, is Global Girl Media’s Spokesperson and Global Mentor.
