I am currently spending my spare time learning about other peoples cultures and countries...mostly from books, online searches and chatting online with people worldwide. The internet provides so much opportunity to learn and share life experiences. Chatting and texting online allows me to practice spanish and teach english with people in other countries. The internet is valuable to discover volunteer organizations worldwide and learn about the experience of volunteers through their blogs and journals. I have been spending my spare time learning more about volunteering in other countries, reading books and researching online. I am currently reading two books:Creating a World Without Povery by Muhammad Yunus and Pilgrimage To India by Pramila Jayapal.
By researching various sites I hope to find the right volunteer opportunity, one in which my heart is most passionate. I have done some limited volunteering in Mexico and the Philippines while also visiting NGO's in other countries including India. I am open to helping out in a variety of ways including: small business enterprises/micro-credit loans, teaching english (TEFL), teaching computer/software skills,organic gardening, website or blog development or maintenance.
