Hi.I am Mercy. Iam a Kenyan.I am a mother to one beautiful daughter.I am also a health worker.I work for the Zurich Kanton in Switzerland.
My world,for the last few years has been women.Young mothers,old women,sick women and even dying women.Dying from terminal illnesses like Cancer, to dying from old age and even from other medical complications.
Although I have done this for a while now, I still haven`t come around the whole emotional part. Sometimes I have smooth weeks,and sometimes not so great weeks. At the end of the very not so great weeks, I find my self completely worn out emotionally.Somehow come Monday, I wake up and go back to work.
I am facing a future with quit a number of ophans.Atleast ten parents back in my village in Kenya have approached me on if I would take care of the there kids ones they are gone.These are Parents suffering from terminal illnesses and are afraid that they might not see there kids growup.
That`s something I have to quickly get ready for,and especially because, everytime I make a trip home, there is one more single mother or one more couple asking for the same reassuarance..
