I am a TV journalist based in Dubai.
I have more than seven years of media experience including five years as TV News Journalist in Dubai. I have recently obtained Freelance license from Dubai Media City. I work as News correspondent for various TV along with producing documentaries..
I am also in the process of learning Arabic to further my reach in the Gulf region.
As Journalist and Producer, I have produced news documentaries. I have also produced and directed several news shows - both Live (including Breaking News) and Recorded - in Pakistan and Dubai. The shows have mostly featured prominent personalities from around the world.
During this job, I have been involved in writing script, doing research and providing other editorial support.
I have also been responsible for promoting my shows and help the marketing team get sponsors.
As a local business reporter and journalist I have built a strong network both amongst communities and at official levels. This has helped me deliver exclusive stories from across the subcontinent and the Middle East .
I have been working at the Dubai Media City since 2003 and have the contacts and understanding of the industry in Dubai . I am a Pakistani married to an Indian journalist and we have witnessed the region's media industry evolve in recent years.
About AMNA E. KHAISHGI- DIRECTOR
Amna Ehtesham Khaishgi is a documentary film maker based in the UAE. She has worked with several news channels and production houses. Khaishgi has produced documentaries on diverse human, social, political and business issues for several international channels. She has about 10 years of experience in television industry, which includes six years as broadcast journalist and producer/director. Khaishgi has worked as Senior Producer for two leading Pakistani TV channels – ARY and GEO. She has directed and produced popular news and current affairs shows and documentaries. Khaishgi produced and directed a one-of-its-kind cross-border LIVE discussion show on the eve of Indo-Pak independence. The two-day show brought former army chiefs of both the countries face to face for the first time and was simultaneously telecast by GEO TV and NDTV 24X7. One of Khaishgi’s recent documentaries “Touch Wood” made it to the Cannes Film Festival 2010 and was widely appreciated by the global audience. Her documentary “Leap of Faith” is schedule to be shown in Abu Dhabi Film Festival October 2010. XXX
