About Me:

I am a woman and because I am a woman I have to work twice as hard. I am a survivour because perpetrators of abuse thought to kill me but their very repulsive, heinous acts of violence which committed against me is today fueling me to be a voice which shall not keep silent. I am an Advocate and I stand in defense of victims not only locally but globally where violence touches one woman it touches all women and wherever there is violence in one area places of peace must be vigilant to speak against it.

I am a community worker from Trinidad and Tobago in the West Indies its a paradise but like all places it is not exempt from the perpetration of extreme violence, because violence against girls and women and boys and men is real our voices must all be real and stand even when it shakes while speaking.

I experienced severe child sexual, emotional, and physical abuse which set me on a self destructive path. Today I use my voice, the internet and social media to make a difference and encourage prevention intervention, education and training for the reduction of abuse and violence.

Breaking the silence is not a popular choice it is the right choice, making a decision to help others and be a voice for the many silent victims is not an easy road and few desire this path or help champion this cause. To help our daughters and sisters, our fathers and brothers..

If by using the debris of my life I have helped one woman, one family or one community then what happened to me was not in vain.

My Passions:
The protection of children and women
My Challenges:
Lack of support in all areas; getting persons to understand the seriousness of abuse how it affects not only victims but families and the various societal domino effect of abuse.
My Vision for the Future:
To have an educated nation, implementation of prevention strategies and programs.
My Areas of Expertise:
Victim Service Provider, Bystander Approach Teaching, Counseling, Rehabilitation, Motivational Speaking, Victim Support, Writing, Public Speaking
