About Me:
I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley of south Texas. I moved to Houston in 2000 and graduated with a bachelor's degree in music. Midway through my degree in music I discovered I was a feminist social worker at heart. I graduated with my Masters degree in social work in May 2008. After that, I got a job as a nursing home social worker and worked there for a year. Currently, I am a hospital social worker at a women's hospital.
I have interned at the Texas Department of Child and Protective Services and at the Houston Area Women's Center.
My next goal is to get my PhD in Women's Studies and teach at the collegiate level.
