I currently work as a Policy Analyst at a non-profit organization, where I track and analyze policies that impact people with disabilities and their families. I am the founder of New Wave Grrrl, an information and resource sharing blog for women with a special focus on health policy, advocacy, sexuality, and women with disabilities. I am a freelance writer/ blogger and I contribute to several other political and cultural blogs, including The Political Voices of Women and The Literacy 'n' Poverty Project. I holds a BA in History from Marymount Manhattan College, an MS in Urban Affairs from Hunter College, and a Graduate Certificate in Developmental Disabilities from Rutgers University School of Social Work. Since 2008, I have served on the Board of Trustees at the Alice Paul Institute and volunteered as the Director of Policy Initiatives at the Younger Women’s Task Force of New Jersey.
