About Me:

I have worked with second language learners for my entire teaching career, both with children and adults. From this experience as well as extensive travel, my eyes have been opened to the many and varied voices, cultures, and challenges in our world. I presently teach adults at a college in the Portland area as well as run my own business called Red Aphrodite- a stationery business with fun, whimsical, designs. I believe in creating businesses that use resources wisely and thus produce everything locally using 100 percent post consumer papers. I am learning as a collage/mixed media artist everyday.

My Passions:
my family, supporting women in their pursuits, travel, art, creativity, expanding possibilities, gardening, cooking, reading
My Challenges:
Creating a sustainable business, meeting the everyday challenges with grace, wisdom, and clarity. Balance, time management.
My Vision for the Future:
I believe we are entering an era in which women bring their voices to global issues in a bigger way than ever. I want to be a part of this movement and transformation.
My Areas of Expertise:
Teaching, Running a business, Literacy, graphic design
My Languages:
English, Spanish
