I am passionate about having a world free of domestic violence. I am the Executive Director of Anti Domestic Violence Coalition (ADVC).
Domestic violence is a cross cutting issue and therefore calls for all fields of expertise to inter twin and work as one.
ADVC works in Busoga region, Jinja District. We work in Mpumudde Division in four parishes namely; Rubaga, Nalufenya, Kimaka and Mpumudde. In the four parishes, we work in 15 villages namely; Kimaka A and B, Nalufenya A and B, Rubaga, Kamuli road, Mpumudde upland, Mpumudde West A,B,C, Market zone A, B, Mpumudde national Housing and mpumudde commercial village.
ADVC has the following programs; Shelter, Psychosocial counseling, community training and sensitization on GBV and entrepreneurship training.
ADVC's vision is communities without domestic violence. We focus and address the causes and effects of domestic. violence. Our mission is to reconcile spouses so that they can live a violent free relationship.
Currently we are sensitizing the communities on the causes and effects on domestic violence
and also informing them on where they can find GBV related help.
