About Me:

I always find getting started the hardest part - and I am sure that most of you will agree. I have attempted to write this introduction paragraph about 15 times and didn't know where to even go. I am not a writer by any means, I am much more of a oral communicator - so this will be both a challenge and learning experience for me. I have been reading post by all the other amazing women here, about their challenges and success and I wondering what it is that I have done, and what it is that I could actually offer. I have been born into opportunities - Canadian and able to attend University. I have had an education and I have encouragement beyond belief from home to follow my heart and follow my dreams - and I still never feel like I am doing enough - to give back what I have received. I am currently volunteer teaching at the Access Academy, Asian University for Women in Chittagong, Bangladesh - I am here because I speak English. I get the privilege of helping young women from across South Asia reach for their dreams, and their goals. They have over come more then I can imagine in their villages, towns and cities - they have left their homes for 5 years to go to get an education. I feel lucky everyday that I get to work with them, to help them learn, I just hope that they are learning as much from me as I am from them. They inspire me, and I will forever thank them, and my other students in the Marshall Islands, for helping me grow and learn and hope that someday, hopefully, I will be able to give as much back.
