Evelyne Onari
My names are Evelyne Onari from Cameroon. I am married and have four children. I also have more than 16 years experience working as an advocate for change in the lives of women in Cameroon. In pursue of my goal which is "Women Empowerment", I decided to go back to school to further my education. In July 2010, I won the prestigious Joint Japanese/ World Bank Scholarship that took me to Brandeis University for two years while leaving my children in the care of husband in pursue of my dream of advocating for women.. In May 2012, I graduated with an MA. in Sustainable International Development and return home to my country. In August 2012, I started an association called the "Association for Community Empowerment" whose goal is to help fight all forms of violence perpetrated on Women and girls. I used all available resources to ensure that women have a safe space to express them selves and help others.
In addition, I am into protecting our environment by working on projects that will help conserve and protect our environment as a way of reducing the effect of climate change.
Finally, I love learning from others experiences and sharing mine too so we can both learn from our best practices.
