I am an elementary teacher in Kingston Ontario, Canada. I have lived in this area most of my life. I recently attended a women's conference organized by the Elementary Teacher's Union in Toronto and was inspired by the many wonderful women activists that spoke at the conference, to join a women's activist group.
I am married to a wonderful man. We have no children (personal choice). We are closely connected to our extended families.
Even in Canada women still have to fight to gain rights and to keep the rights we have attained, and I want to help other women in other countries move forward to attain equal rights and protection in their countries.
