I am the Director of a very new and small organisation called rebuild Sakubva.Sakubva is an 86 year old township which was built during the apartheid era.It has capacity for 25000 people but now it houses over 65000.The township is now so run down that it has turned into a slum that hubs crime,teen pregnancies,drug abuse,violence against women,misguided youths and theft.Through ReSa we intend to restore dignity in this town through rebuilding and restoring dignity of the community.We want to use the asset-based community development approach.
I am a holder of a master's degree in psychology and my Bachelor's degree is in the same field.I also hold a Diploma in education,certificate in M and E,certificate in project management,certificate in Gender and GBV and a certificate in Leadership for HIV and AIDS projects.I also have a certificate in Community development.My wish and desire is to help the women in this community to be empowered economically and otherwise.Since we are still new l would very much welcome ideas on project management and how and where to get grants.I also invite you to check out our website on http://rebuildsakubva-org.webs.com Email me if you have some ideas to share.
