About Me:

I am an outspoken and empowered 29 year old Kenyan woman. I speak openly to everybody about issues affecting myself and women and the vulnerable in society. I am able to make my own freewill decisions on fundamental issues like my career choice, sexuality, personal relationships, politics and religion without consulting anyone although I do with a little advice. I believe in personal drive of destiny by everybody and I would like all women in my society to be able to speak for themselves and make their own decisions without fear of intimidation especially in an unequal society where men rule and want decide for everyone.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Journalism at a local private university a decision I made on my own even though i dont have personal resources. My family was against it right from the beginning as they feel that am too old to continue my studies and considering that I already had another college certificate which was their choice so they wanted me to just find a job and be responsible! I felt that I was not only in a profession I was not comfortable with but I also wanted to go for the skies in my career life. Life Is not that easy but at least it is something i am passionate for and that I have Spoken for Myself to steer a direction for my future!

My Passions:
Equality for all, freedom of speech and equal opportunities
My Challenges:
A prejudiced and stereotypical society, lack of resources to advance career and lead a quality life
My Vision for the Future:
A free and equal society with opportunities everywhere
My Areas of Expertise:
Media, ICTs, Gender, Politics, Writing
My Languages:
English, Swahili
